Located by the famous Inya Lake in Yangon, Myanmar, the scheme is a 9-storey hotel comprising 132 guestrooms, served by facilities including a specialty restaurant, a health club and spa, and a sky café on the roof terrace.
The design draws inspiration from two sources: the rural stilt house structures, and the natural surroundings of the lake. Timber is used to evoke the rustic charm of the structures, treated with a contemporary interpretation, while a curtain wall glazing reflects the lake and open surroundings. Internally, green pockets are introduced to enhance the design and provide environmental benefits.
